Pros And Cons Of The BumbleRide Queen B Stroller
Of all of the multitude of items you need to purchase for your newborn child, the stroller is one of the most important. Not only is it one of the most expensive items, but it's also one that you will be using day in day out. It is therefore imperative that you do as much research as you can before making your selection, to ensure that the stroller you go for fulfills all of the requirements you have.
In this article, I hope to help you in your research by breaking down the pros and cons of my own stroller, the BumbleRide Queen B Stroller, so you can make an informed choice as to whether or not it's the stroller for you. I'll be looking into the stroller's durability, mobility, travel convenience and safety - discussing the aspects that are good for me, the aspects that are good for my baby, and the aspects that haven't impressed me so much.
Durability
I've found the Queen B to be highly durable. The aluminium chassis is very sturdy, and the fabrics are all removable and machine washable. The stroller has a weight capacity of 65lbs, meaning you won't need to replace it for as long as your baby requires a stroller - and it can even be extended with an additional toddler seat.
Mobility
The wheels on the BumbleRide Queen B are just fantastic. Quick release, 12 inch, air-inflated wheels mean that the stroller literally glides along, and you'll really enjoy the feeling of pushing it. The front wheels are steerable, but not as easy as some other strollers around particularly tight corners.
Travel Convenience
With the bassinet and optional toddler seat, the Queen B will fit your child from newborn to toddler with ease. Folding to a relatively compact (for a stroller of this size) 20 x 23 x 39 inches, you can transport is in your car trunk - taking off the wheels to make it even smaller.
Safety
The key safety features on the BumbleRide Queen B are the five point safety harness with a cushioned headrest and shoulder pads - which secure your infant in comfort. There is also a bumper bar, which is an excellent additional safety precaution that I haven't seen in many other strollers.
Good For Me
The BumbleRide Queen B comes with an air pump, foot muff and cup holder. The handle adjusts between 30 and 42 inches for easy interchange between you and your partner. There is also an adaptor included which allows the stroller to accommodate most of the leading infant car seat brands.
Good For Baby
Baby will love the comfort of the BumbleRide Queen B Stroller. With the padded harness and headrest and four position reclining backrest, and smooth gliding motion, baby will always feel comfortable and protected.
What Hasn't Impressed Me?
My main criticism is the maneuverability - I find that the turning circle is larger than I would have liked, and it can be difficult to turn in tight spaces such as on public transport or in the shops. It is also quite heavy, which exacerbates the problem. Finally, the seat is reversible, but needs to be completely removed in order to turn it around. Other models such as the BumbleRide Flyer have a mechanism for changing it without needing to remove it.
